Sharks Swimming Ranked Top 10 in Preseason Poll

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its Division II Preseason Swimming & Diving Poll. The committee ranks the top-25 teams in the nation based on dual meet strength.

NSU’s Savanna Best expects to lead the Sharks in 2021-22 after earning multiple Top 10 finishes at the Nationals a year ago.

Nova Southeastern’s men’s swimming team begins the 2021 season ranked eighth in the country and the Shark’s women’s program checks in at fourth.

NSU began the 2021-22 season at the UIndy Invitational, competing against #1 men’s/#1 women’s Indianapolis, #3/#5 Lindenwood, #5/#6 Grand Valley State and #6/#2 Wingate on Oct. 9-10. The Sharks men’s team placed fifth in the event, while the women’s team finished fourth.

The Sharks are the highest ranked team in the Sunshine State Conference and are joined in the poll by#10/#19 Florida Southern, #12/#12 Tampa, #19 Florida Tech (men’s), and #22 Saint Leo (women’s).

Nova Southeastern returns to the pool on Fri., Oct. 22 to begin its Sunshine State Conference schedule in a dual-meet against Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
