2020 Irish Film Festival is Online

The NSU Irish Film Festival is the brainchild of Professor David Kilroy, a native of Ireland and Chair of the Department of Humanities and Politics in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences.

In previous years Professor Kilroy worked with the Irish Film Institute in Dublin to bring a wide array of films for screening. This year the annual NSU Irish Film Festival will be held virtually in November.  Attendees will be able to view the movies at their own pace and later join the professor and special guests on Zoom for Talkback sessions on each film. An opening session will be held on Thursday, November 5th where details on how to view the movies will be explained.

This festival is sponsored by the Alvin Sherman Library, NSU Center for the Humanities and the South Florida Irish Studies Consortium and is free and open to the public. To RSVP for the opening session on November 5 at 7:00 p.m., click here. For more information, contact David Kilroy, Ph.D at dkilroy@nova.edu or Kimberli Kidd at kkidd@nova.edu.
